About Feed My Sheep

The Feed My Sheep Ministry at Redeemer Lutheran Church provides Charleston West Virginia area children living in food-insecure households with food to sustain him or her over weekends. 

Currently, we assist approximately 30 children at Alum Creek Elementary School in the Alum Creek community just outside Charleston, West Virginia.

Additionally, through our “Feed My Sheep Summer” program we assist the same families over the summer school break with monthly food baskets.

A donation of $150 will cover the food needs for one child for a school year.

There are also volunteer opportunities for groups and individuals who might be interested in preparing one week’s supply, or pack the entire month at once. This is a great way for (your share group, civic group, etc) to spend approximately one hour to pack an entire month. There are also opportunities to deliver packages to the school.
