February Fun Weekend of Helping Others
Community Care Team and Elders took time out on a chilly weekend to help kids and friends
On February 6, 2020 our elders (Spiritual Care Team) and congregation president gathered to give a hand to a working single dad who needed some help moving into a new place. Our guys were able to get him moved and settled in over the course of a couple of trips. Thanks guys!
While the guys were out hefting furniture, some of our ladies gathered to create valentine cards for our Feed My Sheep program. Cards will be distributed as a part of a special “Jesus Loves You” Valentines Day gift bag along with regular weekend supplemental food packages on Friday, February 12.
Feed My Sheep, an activity of the Community Care Team, assists food-insecure elementary school students and their families who live in the Alum Creek community and other areas around Charleston.
