1. What's your name?

Don King

2. Will you please share a little about yourself (where you’re from, where you work, about your spouse, children, grandchildren, pets, etc)?

I was born in Columbus Ohio and adopted at birth by my mother and father Donald and Juanita King. I was raised in Nitro, WV but left in 1985 to find work. I was a civilian employee for the Department of Defense and was stationed at the NATO Land Forces South East Headquarters in Izmir, Turkey ended up in the Pacific North West and retired from the Federal Way Police Department in 2006. Married to Angie and we have one dog, Maggie.

3. How long have you been attending/serving at Redeemer?

Four years

4. In what ways do you or have you serve(d) at Redeemer and which is/was your favorite way?

I am part of the Drama Team, Choir, Board of Elders, and I am Also the Director of the Board for Peace Officer Ministries. I have also served on the board of Evangelism and one of JK’s pancake guys. I am also tricked into being part many things here.

5. How has serving at Redeemer impacted you?

It has given me a sense of belonging to a family which I love.

6. What’s something about you not many folks know?

I have been to 6 of the 7 churches of the Book of Revelation. You should come to Monday night Bible Study so we can talk about this.

7. What do you like most about Redeemer?

I love the closeness and support the church gives to its members, and to the community.
