1. What's your name?

Kelly Reimert

2. Will you please share a little about yourself (where you’re from, where you work, about your spouse, children, grandchildren, pets, etc)?

I am from Summit Station, a small village of 174(in 2017) in PA. We moved to Reading, PA in 1982 where I met my husband, Ron. We lived across the street from each other.  We got married in 1989 and have been blessed for 30 yrs.  We have two children, Cory, 23yrs, and Kaitlin, 19yrs. They are both married. Cory and Samantha celebrated 2yrs; Kaitlin and Tracey  celebrated 8 months. We are patiently waiting for grandbabies. For now, we have 3 dogs, 1 grand pup, 2 grand cats, 3 grand lizards, and 2 grand ferrets.
I have 1 brother.
I have delivered papers for the Gazette-Mail for the past 15 years. I had 2 routes until this year. Now i am down to 1 route, and I am transitioning to day time. I recently was blessed with a full time job at Hobby Lobby.

3. How long have you been attending/serving at Redeemer?

We have been attending for 4 yrs

4. In what ways do you or have you serve(d) at Redeemer and which is/was your favorite way?

I have served in every youth ministry from VBS, First Friday Fellowship, Sunday School, Youth Group, American Heritage Girls Troop Leader,  plus served on council, and helped with Feed My Sheep, Egg Hunt, Reader, and I am the janitor (along with my husband’s help).
My favorite is VBS. I love bringing the Bible to life in creative ways and settings.

5. How has serving at Redeemer impacted you?

My faith is deeper, and stronger than ever. I am blessed with a church family that encourages me with Gods’ Word.

6. What’s something about you not many folks know?

My family moved back to Summit Station in 1985. Ronnie moved to Florida the year before. Christmas of 1985 we started writing each other letters and began a long distance relationship. Christmas of 1987 he proposed on his knee and I said yes!

I am #19 out of 20 cousins(my brother is #20). My oldest cousin is a couple years younger than my mom. Out of all of the cousins, my wedding was the only one that all 20 attended... and we missed getting a picture.

Three days after we married, he was deployed to Okinawa for 6 months. We lived in Hawaii for 1 1/2 yrs.... which we fondly think of as our honeymoon.

I had thyroid cancer in 2002

7. What do you like most about Redeemer?

I felt welcomed and part of a family from the moment I stepped in the door.
